Dr. Anya Rivera, Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon

From Dr. Anya Rivera

Aesthetic medicine should feel like an unhurried conversation.

The reason I built this practice the way I did is simple. The appointments I'm most proud of are the ones where the patient and I came in with one plan and left with a different one — because we took the time to understand what they actually wanted. That takes longer than a typical consultation window, and we built our schedule to accommodate it.

Aesthetic medicine is a long conversation, not a transaction. The right answer for a 35-year-old patient might be a careful routine of non-surgical maintenance. The right answer for a postpartum patient might be a thoughtful sequence over two years. We try to find what fits your life, not what fills our schedule.

If you're considering anything meaningful — surgical or otherwise — please get second opinions. We'll never pressure a decision in the room.

From our patients

What patients say.

I came in certain I wanted filler. Dr. Rivera walked me through why it wasn't the right call for me yet — and what to do instead. I left without booking anything, and I trust her completely now.
M.K. · Tampa · Consultation
I've been a patient for six years. What keeps me here is that it never feels like a sales floor — it feels like a plan. Small adjustments, the right timing, no pressure to do more than I need.
J.R. · South Tampa · Long-term care
The surgical consultation was the most thorough hour I've spent with any doctor. She answered every question, showed me the trade-offs honestly, and told me to take my time deciding.

Questions

Frequently asked.

For most injectables and skin treatments, no — you can book directly and we'll review your history at the visit. Surgical procedures and a few advanced treatments do require a consultation first; the booking flow will tell you when one is needed.

You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your appointment with no charge — your deposit is fully refunded. Inside 24 hours, the deposit is forfeited. For genuine emergencies, call the office and we'll work with you.

Yes. We work with Cherry and CareCredit for treatments and procedures over $500. You can apply in a few minutes and a coordinator will walk you through the options at your visit.

Ten minutes early for a first visit so we can complete your patient record, five minutes for a returning visit. If you've uploaded photos in advance, your provider will already have reviewed them.

Aesthetic treatments and elective procedures are not covered by insurance and are paid out of pocket. Some reconstructive work may be eligible — ask a coordinator and we'll help you check.

That's common, and it's what the Explore path is for — tell us what you're curious about and we'll send a tailored guide. Or book a free coordinator call and we'll talk it through with no obligation.
